In the Saint-Etienne mining basin, the RACODON company begins to manufacture tools.
1980
From this date, the company develops its export policy.
1990
The company becomes the European leader in pin punches and tracing tools.
1994
The company is ISO 9002 certified.
1997
A new production site is built at La Talaudière (near Saint-Étienne).
2000
The PLASTIC ONE'R company is born. A subsidiary of RACODON Outillage, it specializes in the manufacture of various tempered PVC parts.
2003
Obtained ISO 9001 version 2000 certification. ISO 9001 version 2000 certification.
2004
Implementation of a CAPM system for better production management.
2009
New management with Bruno & Rémy RACODON
2011
Investment in a hardening furnace allowing internal heat treatment.

Renewal of the machine park with the latest generation digital controls.

The story of a passion
The years go by but the passion is still the same. RACODON SA products always reflect the spirit of a job well done. The dynamism and motivation within the whole company allow each year a very important progress.
Since 1875, RACODON JEUNE has been manufacturing punches and rifle funnels. In 1925 the company had 50 people and produced punches for punching machines for metros, cinemas... In 1946, the manufacture of pin punches, center punches, punches and staplers began.
The real expansion dates from 1960 when the company set up in the mining area of "Puits Camille". In 1966 Gérald RACODON joined the company, his watchwords were " quality ", " modernization " and " development ". In 1976 the company became Ets RACODON SA. It was in 1983 that the company opened up to foreign markets.
In 1994 the company was certified ISO 9002 by AFAQ and in 1996 it received the special mention of the Loire Quality Prize.
In 1997 RACODON SA moved to new premises. It is rewarded for its openness to new markets, and ranks among the best exporters in the Loire. 1999 saw the obtaining of ISO 9001 certification.
Today, the company generates approximately 60% of its turnover from exports to 42 countries.
